E Evie

vie is an older greyhound bitch who has been used for racing in Yorkshire in her younger days. Since her racing career ended she has been kept in a shed on an allotment with a number of other greyhounds until recently when her owner died and all the dogs were taken in by Tia greyhound rescue in Halifax. Evie was very nervous and cringed in her bed at the back of the kennel. Debra was very concerned that she would never have a chance of living in a home due to her great fear of the outside world. Tailends agreed to take her and on Sunday 17th May she arrived after being transported by Debra, Nina, Elaine, Lynda and Ronnie - to whom we are very grateful for giving up their time and taking the trouble to help this old girl.

Since arriving at Tailends Evie has already started to blossom and is enjoying her walks on the beach and through the dunes. She is sleeping at the bottom of my bed on her thick memory bed and fleece. She is being taken for a check at the vets next Tuesday followed by blood tests and spaying. I think she is very pleased to be here to spend her retirement in the Devon scenery.
